P. E. Creedon, Biography
P.E. is an award-winning artist from New Canaan, CT who trained at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Summa Cum Laude, after only 2 years of accelerated study. He went on to take several more classes at Parsons School of Design in New York, NY. P.E. also has a BA in history from Boston University and was staff illustrator for Bostonia magazine at the time. He is married to Patricia Creedon and works at his art full time at his home where he is supervised (often on his shoulder) by a Siamese cat named Fiona.
Ten of P. E.’s pastels were displayed for sale in a downtown office in New Canaan, CT. P.E. had his third solo show at Rockwell Art Galleries of Wilton (Rockwell Art and Framing), in Wilton, CT., called “The Pastel Life, Art by P.E Creedon.” It went from November 13, 2014, to January 13, 2015. He sold “The Pear” and many packages of his notecards.
Gifts that Give Back
At the Holiday Gift Show in November of 2013 “Gifts that Give Back”, P.E. made several sales. The cost for a table was a donation to Housatonic Habitat for Humanity. P.E. exhibited his work in a solo show in August at the Darien Rowayton Bank in Darien, CT. He was in “Art for All—3 Danbury Shows” in 2012 as well as the “Member’s Show” of the New Canaan Society for the Arts. In October 2011, P.E. had a solo show at the Beardsley Gallery in Wilton, CT. Paintings such as “Three Apples” sold at the show.
Other shows include the juried “Spectrum 2011” art show in New Canaan, CT in the Betty Barker Gallery, Carriage Barn Arts Center, Waveny Park. Also “Art in the Windows” in downtown New Canaan, CT which had two P.E. Creedon paintings in the window of Odesmith & Richards at 3 South Avenue.
Still Life Won Award
As an exhibiting member at Rowayton Arts Center, Rowayton, CT. P.E.’s “Orange and Copper” still life won second place for pastels in the “Beyond Brushes” show in February 2011. One of his still life pastels was accepted into the “Mavis Fenner Memorial—All Media Juried Show” that ran through November 7th, 2010.
P.E. Creedon exhibited a landscape in the Wilton Library’s tree-themed exhibit in November 2010. He had a pastel in several “Member’s Shows” of the New Canaan Society for the Arts. P.E. had 4 still lifes on exhibit in the “2009 Spring Show” at Rockwell Art and Framing, which is located in New Canaan, CT. His work is in many private collections.
